What Are The Best Fruits And Vegetables For Container Gardening

Container gardening brings your outdoor space to life. But, not all fruits and vegetables are suitable for limited spaces. So, what works best?

Herbs, like oregano and basil, thrive in small containers. Tomatoes grow well, too, as do cucumbers and peppers. Other good options include pumpkin, beets, and carrots.

Lettuce varieties such as spinach or kale do well in containers, as do green onions and bok choy. Plus, radishes are an excellent choice when dealing with a confined space.

Most berries, once established, need limited room to thrive; cranberries or raspberries work particularly well in containers when paired with a trellis or fence for support.

With careful planning and restraint on what you plant where you can make container gardens into productive plots that last for many seasons to come!
